The incredible view today.
This is a great kitesurfing spot in Langebaan, Western Cape, South Africa.

The ass end of nowhere
We travelled this afternoon into the great old wine country and found ourselves in the quaint old town of The Castle of Riebeck.
We are here to drop Rethom off with JTango for the weekend. It’s a welcome stop and my first beer of the road trip.
Check the name. It’s not just a pub… it’s the pub!! What a great spot. Lovely people!

Breakfast in Caledon
After our cracking meal at the “Southernmost Restaurant In Africa” it was decided it was too late to drive through to Cape Town and start looking for accommodation so we stayed over in Cape Agulhas. I’m glad we did cos I got some amazing night photography of the lighthouse.
At 7:30 this morning we were back on the road. We slowed down through Bredasdorp considering a bite to eat then decided we could hang out until Caledon.
Here we are munching down on a great little brekkie in a cute spot on the outskirts of town.
The sun is shining! It’s a beautiful day!
With love from the bottom of Africa
Here I am at the bottom of the (my) world of Africa. I am sitting down right now staring at two oceans.
Rethom and I are at Cape Agulhas. The southernmost tip of Africa. I have the Indian Ocean on my left and the Atlantic Ocean on my right. So kewl!
This is just the start of an awesome road trip! We need to hurry now cos we still need to find accommodation in Cape Town. Not before a meal at the Southernmost Restaurant & Pub in Africa!
