I have been out of ouch for a while due to lack of reasonable internet access over the last weekend. To think that I actually had better connection speeds in Angola than in South Africa is mind boggling. I digress…

National Cleavage Day is underway and I really hope to get huge support from the ladies out there. I have already received some submissions which have been placed on the main NCD page (in no particular order) and with no changes made by me. I will keep updating and adding as and when I get them in…

A HUGE thank you to those who have submitted until now. You know who you are! Keep the word spreading. Keep up the support. 8)

I hear Radio 5 running some ads about National Cleavage Day as well. I still have not heard anything about the functions they are planning though. Anyone know or have any ideas?

Unfortunately I have not received a response yet from the organization that I was hoping to donate the proceeds to so until that time I cannot say where the money will be going but rest assured, no matter how much, it will be going to a good cause. I just need to get their permission to publish their details. Who would have thought giving money away would be this difficult?

See you soon!

April fool was indeed a good day. It started off a little odd by me thinking that I only had to be on a Kulula flight at 9:50am and when I arrived early at the airport I found out it was in fact an 8:50am flight and they were just closing check in. Thank God I got there early. I would have been so pissed.

So here’s me thinking that all my travel blues are finally over and the universe has shifted it’s opinion about me flying and things are going to go plain sailing from hereon out, when it went a little pear-shaped again. For the last few weeks or so I have been looking for my Leatherman. I found it. Or should I say, security found it in my carryon bag at Cape Town International Airport. DOH! So now I travel a little lighter. I think that’s the 3rd one I have donated to airport security. What does raise an eyebrow though is that the same bag went through security checks in the UK and flights both in and out of the USA. Go South African security. I couldn’t really be too upset cos they were just doing their jobs.

I was falling asleep on the plane as I usually do and I had an epiphany. I have had enough of travel. Well this kind of travel anyway. I now need to start planning my exit strategy and plans for the future. I have to be careful with timing and respect for other that have put themselves out for me.

Anyway I got to Port Elizabeth and all suddenly went really well again. I was hoping to do a check flight yesterday (since I haven’t flown in a few months), then do some practice flying for my PPL renewal and then finish off today with a flight test. The flying went so well yesterday (or the instructor took major pity on me) that my check flight became my flight test and I was passed. That is actually a relief since the wind is howling today and not a lot of flying is being done.

I am now sitting in The Dros in Port Elizabeth about to get stuck into the worlds biggest steak just cos I can. The beer is good. And ICE cold. Hmmmm Africa!

I like The Dros. They have free WiFi internet access.
