It is a very sad day indeed on the project today as we say goodbye to another one of our close friends who was taken tragically in a motor vehicle accident on the mountain road last night. The details are not clear yet as to precisely what happened. 2 other passengers in the vehicle survived and are in hospital in Tirana.
This unfortunately lays testament to the dangers of this extremely hazardous environment in which we live. Saying these roads are dangerous is not simple small talk.
I really hope that everyone can take a lesson away from this and just be that little extra careful (in some cases a LOT extra) when driving and especially when driving with others in the vehicle who’s lives you are responsible for.
Out of privacy and respect I will not mention his name but for those who knew him, it is a very sad day. A sad day for us all. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families of all of them.
God bug i am so sorry for the loss of another camp member on those roads… I am someone lucky enough in some respects to have driven on them with you. They are steep and icey and scary so please keep driving as safely as you do. Know that i am thinking about you and praying hard you get out of there safe and sound. x
