Alb KT, Part 2 - Tirana Tourist

Continued from Alb KT, Part 1 - International Superstar

With day 1 behind us it was time to crack on and sort stuff out. Life in the camp, Albanian style. KT’s day 2:

Here we go.

KT Albania Log Book Day 2

Hoox is off to work so it’s an early start to the day. His office is a bit dull but I will hang some pictures up or a map of Africa for him to look at. *Just so you know, that never happened. My office is still dull.

We met Edski and Tottie (yes they have been told what SA people call a tottie) for breakfast in the big mess hall. OK, breakfast! Interesting. Soup? OK, cucumber? OK, massive chunks of feta? HOOOOOO-KAAYY! And a couple of other things I wouldn’t want to attempt at guessing but I did manage a plate of sausages, a cup of tea (which Hoox threw in my sausages and then poured on the tray), 2 hard boiled eggs, toasted white bread layered in butter and luminous orange juice.

Sent the kids off to work cos mamma has to go take a nap! Albania… all this drinking wine, awesome breakfast, phenomenal tea and freezing weather is making mamma tired!

We are planing to steak a car! and head back along that road, God help us all, for a groot skop (a big party) in Tirana tonight. Awesome

Albania rocks.

Titillating Tuesday - Time is almost up

8 01 2008

I have been in this delightful country of Albania for just short of a year now. This has been a longer assignment than expected for many different reasons but now my time out here is almost up. I am out of here one way or another. In 2 short days, my replacement should be back from his holidays and prepping to come out here and take over the reigns.

It’s time for me to make a move and get the hell out of dodge and back to Africa. I have deadline dates that I have to be in Houston by and I will make them, no matter what!

My time here is UP!
