Dishabille: the state of being carelessly or partially dressed
I found this as an advertising link on my Gmail this morning. I was pleased to see it for two reasons. Firstly I think it’s a great idea to expand ones vocabulary and secondly I think the word perfectly describes this place and this camp that I’m living in.
It (the camp) almost looks like something with purpose, meaning and value but just not quite. There have been some improvements since I first started complaining bitterly about it but now I think we have close reached the peak of improvements. And there is still “something” missing. Character for one. Every other camp I have been to has had something special about it. A really kewl funky bar, awesome people, special trips away together as a team of mates, a special comradery or just good fun and games. I think this place should be called Camp Lunar - Fuck-all atmosphere!
That is a lovely word…how would you pronounce it? I don’t want to accidentally say something I don’t mean.
