The Hoox Goedgedacht Xmas Card Pledge started off with a bang. There was a huge response mostly thanks to the wonders of Lou from 123 Blog Myself. Thank you Lou, your efforts are greatly appreciated!

Now there are just 24 little days to go and only a handful of cards left. I would love to be able to help them give them the opportunity to say, “I’m really sorry but we are all sold out!” That would mean that the kids who are getting the proceeds would have benefited to the max out of this fund raising scheme that the farm is running.

It’s quite simple really. You need Xmas cards (unless you are of the Bah Humbug Persuasion), and they have cards to sell. Instead of giving your hard earned cash to those rich fat cats over at Hallmark, why don’t you direct it in a way that you know is going to benefit some awesome kids and give a little back to the goodness of society. You will also put a huge smile on the faces of my most special people in the world.

All you have to do is:

1. Email the Goedgedacht Trust as soon as possible with the subject “Hoox Sent Me” to goedgeda@iafrica.com advising your intention of number of cards you wish to purchase. R20 for a pack of 6. That’s cheap!
2. Wait for a return email thanking you profusely which will make you feel good for the day at least and will also include some banking details and requesting shipping details
3. Receive your wonderful cards in the mail and get them out as quickly as possible to friends, family, colleagues and the likes. Hell you can even keep a couple with you and give them to your waiter(ess), barman, girl at the checkout counter or the dude that just looked after your car. Watch the smile! Random acts of kindness!
4. Come back here and tell me all the wonderful stories of people’s lives you improved with a simple Christmas wish and a wonderful card that is going to a good cause.
