Since this was written at the same time as Part I, right now I have no idea if the great adventure was (will be) discovered or not.

Sep 15, 17:30 - Enter Tirana International Airport
Sep 15, 19:00 - Leave boss at the airport (only there to drop him off)
Sep 15, 19:30 - Enter Tirana International Hotel
Sep 15, 15:00 - Have an early night
Sep 16, 05:00 - Get to Tirana International Airport
Sep 16, 06:35 - Get the fcuk out of Dodge!

Winter has come to visit

My God. This must be the fastest moving cold front in history.

Albania, and I’m guessing the rest of the Balkan region is feeling the same almost instant reduction in temperature. I swear it went from upper 30’s to single digits in a matter of hours.

I was working in the Tirana office yesterday and it was pissing down with rain which is never a great situation when you are having to think about making your way back up the road to hell. The rain however was not cold. It was still pretty warm.

I woke up this morning and it feels like God has switched the heater off. I even had a hot shower this morning to defrost.

Human beings will never be happy!

It’s too hot
It’s too cold
It’s too wet
It’s too dry
Etc
Etc

This time I am happy for the change. This country needs the rain and we needed a change in temperature. It just feels off wearing a fleece jacket.

It’s too early to be this cold now so I’m guessing that winter has just popped in to say hi and let us know that she is just around the corner.

R&R Vacation - Part I

It’s almost time. R&R is close. Tickets booked and paid for. Arrangements made. Leave applied for and granted. Cover support booked and scheduled. Handover due very soon. The time is close. ITS HOLIDAY TIME BABY!

I am so excited.

How about people try and guess what the trip is?

The only clue I’m going to give is:

  • It’s most certainly going to be out of this country!

Ok, I will give you all a second clue:

There is actually a third clue but not as obvious.

The “itinerary” has already been posted but delayed until later. It will be visable after 10pm GMT.
