Albania Rocks
16 04 2007We have just experienced an earthquake. It was quite a small one and only lasted about 20-30 seconds. At first I thought it was just the girls next door making a racket again but then things started wobbling so I thought it was Skittles sitting next to me doing something. It was only when it became a more pronounced backwards and forwards, side to side movement did I ask, “What the f*ck is that?” People looked up and just said… “Damn I don’t know”.
We looked out the window on the 10th floor and we could see some movement in buildings around us but nothing hectic. The people on street level just carried on like ants completely ignorant to the fact that their world was shaking.
Earthquakes are apparently VERY rare in Albania.
