How about 48 Degrees Celcius??? Thats right! That's what the temperature is right now in this pit. Let me try to explain what 48 feels like.
- Its like opening a heated oven
- You cant breathe
- Your skin burns
- Your eyes dry out
- You have to squint to see anything
- Your kneecaps and fingernails sweat
- Headaches are common
- Walking uses too much energy
- Eating uses too much energy
- Thinking uses too much energy
- The exhaust fan of an airconditioner is cooler than a gentle breeze
- The inside of an airconditioned office feels like an igloo (I would imagine??)
- Time slows down, drags, stops
- Ice cold water left out for 5 minutes becomes similar to a warm cup of tea
- Heatstroke and dehydration are a real concern
